The 5 Key Features of Analytics
When thinking about analytics, one doesn’t usually get a gush of excitement. Deep delving into numbers and figures really only captivates a few special people in this world, and I am not one of those people! When curating the Analytics Module on SocioConnect, Stephen (our CEO and one of those few special people I mentioned above) kept that fact at the forefront of his vision. Our Analytics Module was created in order to make all of the figures from all of your platforms, easy to understand. It is as simple as pie to see when something is working on your social media pages.
The Basics of Social Media Metrics
There’s one thing we all know when it comes to social media marketing, analytics are directly tied to the success of your marketing efforts and your business as a whole. Businesses need analytics to improve strategies on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. There is no point posting consistently on your social media pages and never taking a step back to look at what’s working! As Priya Dialani mentioned when discussing ‘The significance of social media analytics’ for Analytics Insights, “Utilizing social media analytics to direct the distribution of your time will guarantee that you are working as proficiently as possible on your social media presence. Like all advertising efforts, social media is a numbers game. By accessing the numbers, you have all the tools you need to succeed.”
When utilizing analytics properly, you will learn a multitude of things:
- What your audience responds to
- What posts are performing better than others
- The right time to post
- The wrong time to post
- Identify what platform is growing the most
- Identify what platform is creating the most leads for your business
Top Five Features & Values
No. 1 Multi-platform Visibility
According to a Forrester study commissioned by Google, only 43% of firms have unified cross-platform analytics, which brings in the full customer experience with their website and social media channels in one solution. That very same study also detailed that 76% of firms reported better marketing campaign outcomes when utilising a cross-platform analytics tool. It’s a no-brainer, folks. If you’re posting on it, it needs to be added to your analytics platform and that's where we come in. On our Analytics module dashboard you can see everything from web traffic, web conversions through to new likes on social and top performing social media posts. One dashboard but with ALL of your metrics, making it easier to digest what is working and generating results, and what is not.
No. 2 Saves Time
We've worked with independant and multi-venue businesses for over five years, helping them achieve online marketing success. One thing we know is time is a scarce commodity. With Analytics you can see your stores online marketing performance in one place. However, you can then in the same minute, take the knowledge you have just learnt from your Analytics dashboard and apply it to new posts on our publishing module or review content for the following week, or even set up a new advertisement based on current results. You gain insights and react to them all in the same place; saving you time.
No. 3 Easy to Use
As I said before, it was a major priority of ours to create an Analytics Module that didn’t give you a headache. It is not only easy to digest, but it is also visually appealing. When Stephen first started creating the platform, we worked with over 300 independent locations. Reports were a constant issue that kept being brought up by our Community Managers. Some of our clients found data from other insights platforms hard to evaluate - no longer! We have designed a dashboard that is simple, clear and that also provides users with definitions of what the metric is, just in case you are new to digital marketing.
No. 4 Data Confidence
Being easy to digest also makes our Analytics Module easy to understand and that’s when the magic happens. Data confidence allows you to speed up your ability to react to the analytics at hand. We know we work with novices all the way through to experts and the sim of Analytics is to give everyone the opportunity to achieve greater insight and success. The data in our system is real-time, effective data that will increase in value the more we get of it. Because of this, when analysing this data, you can also get strategising immediately. Update your strategy quickly and easily in our Brand Profile section to keep track of changes that you would like to make to your social media strategy based on your analytics. Data driven decision making is the only way forward!
No. 5 Export
It may sound simple but exporting one report for your entire online performance is not something you can find with many platforms. With one report over a time period that you set, you can see web, conversion and all social results; making life simpler and easier for you as a business owner or a small group owner.
Analytics for Multi-venue Business
The Analytics Module is available for all users and all packages; it is highly effective for individual stores and small groups. However, if you are a multi-venue business you may want to look into our premium module Business Intelligence. This is not a module you need as a single store but for brands such as Supervalu, Daybreak and AF BLakemore that manage 100's of stores, it is changing the way they control and strategise their digital marketing.
